Water Conservation Workshops @ Warren Middle School

Directors Kayla Peng and Rebecca Lubeck led a 4-part conservation workshop series at Warren Middle School, where they graduated in 2022. They taught a group of engaged middle schoolers about the water cycle, issues that affect water quality, and how to protect local water bodies.

New Jersey has the second-highest level of PFAS in drinking water in the nation, so residents need to be aware of how to protect themselves and move towards cleaner water.

Supported by their former E2 teacher Dr. Cooper, they used free water testing kits from EarthEcho International to experiment with two different water samples. Students could observe differences in pH, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, and temperature of the different water samples.
